High and Low Pressure Pulse Jet Baghouses Engineered for Industrial Performance
IAC designs and manufactures high and low pressure pulse jet baghouses that deliver reliable particulate capture, low emissions, and long filter life across heavy-duty industrial processes. Each system is engineered for stable airflow, efficient cleaning, and durable performance in demanding environments such as cement, steel, biomass, power generation, and mineral processing.
With more than 7,500 fabric filter systems operating worldwide, IAC brings decades of proven successes in process dust collection, integrated material handling, and full-scope EPC execution. Our in-house engineering, metal fabrication, construction, and aftermarket field services give facilities a single-source partner for new installations, retrofits, and optimization projects.
High Pressure vs Low Pressure Pulse Jet Cleaning
IAC offers both high pressure and low pressure pulse jet baghouse designs so facilities can match cleaning energy, operating cost, and system performance to their process requirements. While both configurations deliver consistent particulate removal, each approach provides distinct advantages depending on airflow volume, dust loading, bag length, and available utilities.
High Pressure Pulse Jet Baghouses
High pressure systems use compressed air to deliver strong, focused cleaning pulses that maintain stable differential pressure and effective dust release. These designs are ideal for compact collectors, retrofit installations, and applications with variable dust characteristics. Plants choose high pressure units when they need a smaller footprint, straightforward header piping, and rapid filter cleaning cycles.
Low Pressure Pulse Jet Baghouses
Low pressure or medium-pressure designs utilize blower-generated air to clean long-bag and large-cloth-area systems. This approach reduces overall compressed air consumption and often provides lower operating cost for high-volume process collectors. Low pressure units are commonly used in cement, steel, power, and biomass facilities where airflow is high and total cost of ownership is a priority.
Both options can be engineered with top-load or bottom-load configurations, long-bag or standard bag lengths, and compartmentalized layouts for continuous operation during maintenance.
Design Features and Performance Advantages
IAC’s pulse jet baghouses are engineered with configurable features that support stable operation, efficient filter cleaning, and long service life in demanding industrial environments. Each system is designed to maintain consistent differential pressure, protect filter media, and simplify maintenance while integrating seamlessly with upstream and downstream process equipment.

Operational Reliability and Maintenance Access
IAC’s design flexibility allows facilities to meet strict emissions limits, manage heavy dust loading, and minimize compressed air use or energy demand. Each baghouse is engineered to deliver consistent compliance and reduced maintenance burden over decades of service.

Cement, Lime, and Aggregates
Pulse jet baghouses manage high dust loading from kilns, mills, clinker coolers, and material handling points. Long-bag, low pressure designs are often selected for high-volume process collectors, while high pressure units support compact nuisance-dust applications.

Steel, Foundries, and Metal Processing
These systems capture emissions from melting, casting, finishing, and thermal operations. Abrasive dusts, elevated temperatures, and continuous-duty cycles are supported through durable housings, temperature-resistant media, and robust cleaning controls.

Biomass, Power, and Energy Production
Baghouses control fine particulate and ash from boilers, dryers, gasifiers, and combustion systems. Low pressure collectors are commonly used for large airflow requirements, while high pressure units support retrofit needs where space or utilities are limited.

Industrial Minerals and Bulk Materials Handling
Dust generated by grinding, drying, conveying, and storage of minerals or powders is efficiently captured with systems designed for even air distribution, dependable cleaning, and long-term media performance.

IAC STAINLESS STEEL BAGHOUSEWASTE REPLACMENT FOR A WASTE-TO-ENERGY PLANT – 2017
IAC contracted with a Waste-to-Energy facility adjacent to a US Army Arsenal to remove and install 12 baghouse modules. The facility processes 690 tons of solid waste and sewage sludge per day, producing energy for the arsenal’s heating and air conditioning needs. The facility opened in 1990 and when it was determined that the original two baghouses needed to be replaced, IAC was awarded an EPC contract in April, 2017 to design, supply and install the new baghouses.
Single Pass Separator Project
IAC was awarded a $50 million EPC contract to supply a variety of systems at the Drake Cement, Greenfield, Arizona Plant.
The install included silos, clinker handling, conveyors, waste product silo and additional fugitive collection systems for each.
This project required construction trades on site for over a five year period. The project incorporates $20 million EPC contract for a High Efficiency Separator.
