Optimize Airflow, Compliance, and Performance with Expert System Assessments
Keeping your plant’s air pollution control and process systems operating at peak performance requires more than routine maintenance—it starts with a clear understanding of how your equipment is performing today. IAC’s Baghouse & Process Assessments provide a comprehensive evaluation of dust collection and process air systems to uncover hidden inefficiencies, identify compliance risks, and recommend improvements that extend equipment life and reduce operating costs.
With decades of OEM expertise and over 7,500 baghouses in service worldwide, our engineers and field teams deliver the insights plant managers and environmental engineers need to maintain compliance, protect uptime, and optimize performance across the entire system.
Why Assessments Matter
Industrial baghouses and process air systems are mission-critical for maintaining compliance and ensuring safe, reliable operations. Over time, system performance can degrade due to factors like uneven airflow distribution, worn filter media, improperly adjusted cleaning cycles, or poorly balanced ductwork. Left unchecked, these issues can lead to increased emissions, shortened filter life, higher energy consumption, and unplanned downtime.
A structured assessment helps plant teams:
- Benchmark actual system performance against design specifications and regulatory limits.
- Identify bottlenecks in airflow, pressure drop, and capture efficiency.
- Uncover root causes of premature bag failure or excessive maintenance needs.
- Validate system reliability ahead of audits or production increases.
By turning performance data into actionable insights, IAC assessments reduce risk while improving system efficiency and lifecycle value.
What We Assess
IAC’s assessment process provides a complete evaluation of your baghouse and process air systems, with attention to both operational performance and long-term reliability. Our engineers and field technicians examine:
- Baghouse Performance – Air-to-cloth ratio, differential pressure, cleaning cycle efficiency, and overall airflow distribution.
- Filter Media Condition – Inspection for abrasion, blinding, chemical attack, or thermal stress that shortens bag life.
- Airflow & Ductwork – Static pressure readings, pick-up hood efficiency, and balance of air volumes across the system.
- System Controls & Valves – Timer boards, pulse valves, solenoids, and diaphragm functionality for proper cleaning sequence.
- Emissions & Compliance – Leak detection, opacity readings, and documentation aligned with EPA and local regulations.
- Mechanical Integrity – Housings, hoppers, dampers, fans, and related components checked for wear, corrosion, or misalignment.
The result is a data-driven baseline of how your system is performing today and where efficiency, compliance, or reliability can be improved.

IAC STAINLESS STEEL BAGHOUSEWASTE REPLACMENT FOR A WASTE-TO-ENERGY PLANT – 2017
IAC contracted with a Waste-to-Energy facility adjacent to a US Army Arsenal to remove and install 12 baghouse modules. The facility processes 690 tons of solid waste and sewage sludge per day, producing energy for the arsenal’s heating and air conditioning needs. The facility opened in 1990 and when it was determined that the original two baghouses needed to be replaced, IAC was awarded an EPC contract in April, 2017 to design, supply and install the new baghouses.
Single Pass Separator Project
IAC was awarded a $50 million EPC contract to supply a variety of systems at the Drake Cement, Greenfield, Arizona Plant.
The install included silos, clinker handling, conveyors, waste product silo and additional fugitive collection systems for each.
This project required construction trades on site for over a five year period. The project incorporates $20 million EPC contract for a High Efficiency Separator.
