Lime Production & Processing
Lime production is an essential component in steelmaking, construction, water treatment, and environmental control. With demanding operating conditions and tightening emissions regulations, lime producers require engineered systems that deliver reliability, compliance, and efficiency without compromising throughput.
IAC has partnered with lime plants for over 35 years, providing turnkey EPC solutions and OEM equipment that support every stage of production—from quarry to kiln to finished product handling. As both a full-service EPC contractor and a top-five global baghouse OEM, we design, build, and maintain systems that improve performance while ensuring plants meet regulatory standards.
Whether it’s controlling kiln emissions with high-efficiency baghouses, optimizing drying systems for fuel savings, or designing durable material handling and storage solutions, IAC delivers end-to-end support built on decades of industry expertise.

Industry Challenges in Lime Production
Operating a lime plant presents unique challenges that demand resilient, compliance-ready systems. Producers face constant pressure to balance efficiency with environmental responsibility while keeping facilities running at full capacity.
Emissions Control
Lime kilns generate high-temperature process gases rich in SO₂, NOx, and particulate matter. Stricter EPA and local regulatory standards make effective air pollution control essential to avoid costly fines and shutdowns.
Energy Efficiency
Fuel costs remain one of the largest operating expenses in lime production. Inefficient kilns, dryers, and outdated equipment increase BTU consumption and reduce profitability.
Reliability and Uptime
With 24/7 production schedules, unscheduled downtime can severely impact throughput. Abrasive raw materials and high-temperature processes place significant wear on dust collectors, conveyors, and thermal processing systems.
Dust and Material Handling
Managing abrasive lime fines and fugitive dust requires engineered pneumatic and mechanical handling systems that protect worker safety while maintaining clean, efficient operations.

IAC STAINLESS STEEL BAGHOUSEWASTE REPLACMENT FOR A WASTE-TO-ENERGY PLANT – 2017
IAC contracted with a Waste-to-Energy facility adjacent to a US Army Arsenal to remove and install 12 baghouse modules. The facility processes 690 tons of solid waste and sewage sludge per day, producing energy for the arsenal’s heating and air conditioning needs. The facility opened in 1990 and when it was determined that the original two baghouses needed to be replaced, IAC was awarded an EPC contract in April, 2017 to design, supply and install the new baghouses.
Single Pass Separator Project
IAC was awarded a $50 million EPC contract to supply a variety of systems at the Drake Cement, Greenfield, Arizona Plant.
The install included silos, clinker handling, conveyors, waste product silo and additional fugitive collection systems for each.
This project required construction trades on site for over a five year period. The project incorporates $20 million EPC contract for a High Efficiency Separator.
