High-Volume Reverse Air Baghouses
IAC builds the most advanced reverse air baghouse systems in North America. Reverse air baghouse dust collectors clean filter media with high volume, low pressure air. While not as commonly built today as baghouses with pulse jet cleaning, reverse air baghouses have specialty applications, such as steel mill electric arc furnaces (EAF’s), where this system of dust control is preferred.
Industrial operations that run around the clock need dust collection systems that do the same—without driving up maintenance or energy costs. IAC’s Reverse Air Baghouses are built specifically for high-demand, continuous-use environments where performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance are non-negotiable.
Unlike pulse-jet systems that rely on compressed air, our reverse air units use a low-pressure fan to clean the filter bags through a gentle reverse flow of air. This cleaning method reduces mechanical stress on filter media, resulting in extended bag life, lower operating costs, and reduced system downtime.
Every Reverse Air Baghouse from IAC is custom-engineered to meet the specifications of your facility, ensuring seamless integration whether you’re building new, upgrading, or retrofitting an existing dust collection system. With advanced design options and available integration into Smart Plant monitoring, these units deliver efficiency today—and scalability for tomorrow.

IAC STAINLESS STEEL BAGHOUSEWASTE REPLACMENT FOR A WASTE-TO-ENERGY PLANT – 2017
IAC contracted with a Waste-to-Energy facility adjacent to a US Army Arsenal to remove and install 12 baghouse modules. The facility processes 690 tons of solid waste and sewage sludge per day, producing energy for the arsenal’s heating and air conditioning needs. The facility opened in 1990 and when it was determined that the original two baghouses needed to be replaced, IAC was awarded an EPC contract in April, 2017 to design, supply and install the new baghouses.
