Position Overview:

The Sales Engineer role requires a highly self-motivated individual who can quickly become familiar with a wide range of equipment, replacement parts, and field services. Responsibilities primarily include inside sales activities for replacement parts & components, dust collection equipment (B Sales) and field services.

  • Maintain and develop relationships in your assigned database.

Business Development Representative – Account Development

Position Overview:

IAC, Industrial Accessories Company, Mission, KS, is looking for a dynamic Business Development Professional. In this role, you will work with the business development, marketing, aftermarket parts, and field services groups. This role requires a highly self-motivated individual who can quickly become familiar with a wide range of equipment, replacement parts, and field services for promotion in the industrial marketplace. This position is non-commission and supports our sales team in lead generation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct targeted business-to-business outbound calls, averaging 350 a week
  • Qualify leads for large projects, replacement parts, and field services while leveraging marketing messages
  • Schedule meetings for the field service sales team
  • Conduct research on targeted industries and/or projects
  • Meet and exceed weekly lead quota

Minimum Requirements

Controls Engineer

Position Overview:

IAC is a 32-year-old EPC Contractor, Capital Equipment supplier, OEM, and Parts and Service supplier located in Mission, KS.

As an EPC/Turnkey Industrial Contractor, IAC, in conjunction with our wholly owned construction company, Adelphi Construction perform $10 million up to $150 million projects within North America, Latin America, and Mexico.

Complete electrical design of electrical systems, electrical installation design, and control system design. The Controls Engineer will work across a variety of functional groups that are directly involved in engineering and implementation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize applicable engineering national and local codes (NFPA 70E).
  • Develop and/or review electrical schematics.
  • Programmable logic controllers (PLC)
  • Control System panel and cabinet design to NFPA, UL 508A, and standards.
  • Controls & instrumentation; sensor selection and setup.
  • PLC Ladder Logic, State Logic Design
  • Human Machine Interface (HMI) design and troubleshooting.
  • Review specifications, drawings and vendor equipment documentation.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience working for a design company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.

  • Demonstrated experience with control systems design projects including coordination with other engineering disciplines.

Field Service Mechanical and Electrical Technician

Position Overview:

IAC is a manufacturer of dust collector systems located in Mission, KS.  Our equipment includes baghouse collectors, wet scrubbers, explosion /fire protection equipment, airlocks, pneumatic and vacuum conveying systems, and fans.

We are seeking a local Greater Kansas City area FIELD SERVICE MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN that can also travel out of state when needed, to inspect, diagnose, install, and service equipment (IAC and other manufacturers) at customer plants.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be well versed on all aspects of general safety OSHA /MSHA, (man lift and confined space certifications a plus)
  • Basic computer skills for report writing, technical lookup and browsing, emails (MS Office)
  • Skillful in working on industrial machinery, mechanical and minor electrical repairs/installations.
  • Capable of welding and cutting on mild steel, AR steel, and stainless-steel materials.
  • Qualified for replacement of bearings, idlers, sheaves, dust collector bags, gearboxes, and drive belts.
  • Able to be certified and willingness to wear protective respiratory equipment and all associated Safety PPE (Protective Personnel Equipment)
  • Must have a telephone and be open to callouts.
  • Must have reliable transportation for working within 100 mile radius of Kansas City (mileage is reimbursed and expensed). Anything beyond 100 miles is booked as travel i.e. rental car, etc.
  • Consent to work in sometimes hazardous environments utilizing proper PPE (lead, silica)
  • Participating in vendor and company-designated training including site specific training.
  • Operate various rental equipment including lifts and booms.
  • Trained in confined space procedures (supervisor/entrant, gas meter) current certificates or training a plus.
  • Possibly travel away from KC Metro area 25-50%
  • Willingness at times to work varying hours – M-F mostly but weekend and Holiday availability will be needed at times, depending on needs of the customers.
  • Prepared to pitch in and help hands-on when needed or supplement crews if needed on projects.
  • Valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or passport or ability to eventually obtain the equivalent to use commercial travel in 2023.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Self-starter and can work in unsupervised settings.
  • Skilled in the safe use of various hand and power tools.
  • May supervise various subcontracted crew members as a “lead or project manager” from time to time.
  • Previous knowledge or training in differential pressures and understanding of relative and absolute pressure as it applies to dust collection and pressure / vacuum systems.
  • Must have the ability to respond and adjust to changing or new situations. Work well in high stress environments and maintain professionalism in dealing with customers and co-workers.
  • Due to our customers’ needs, priorities will change based on customer situations so individuals must be flexible and adapt to ever changing work schedule and priorities.
  • Utilize company travel coordinator and/or personally arrange cost effective travel arrangements (hotel, car rental and airline flights) within company policy guidelines and keep IAC team members and customers informed of all travel arrangements.
  • Complete timely service documentation regarding what was repaired or inspected during the visit and submit expense, completion, and site visit reports within one week of site departure.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the associate is regularly exposed to conditions including frequently exposed to extreme cold, heat (both weather and non-weather).
  • Able to tolerate working outside in severe weather conditions as well as exposure to high temperature, noise, and dust.
  • Frequently exposed to work in high, precarious places, climbing silos and vertical ladders to heights well above normal.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand and walk; have manual dexterity to perform tasks; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • Installing control boxes, cards, replacements & setup, analog / digital sensors, valve rebuilds, 120VAC solenoid replacements, and all associated 120vac/ 4-24ma wiring.
  • On-site technical assistance in a courteous, professional, and confident manner to help evaluate, troubleshoot, install, and repair equipment.

SEP Project Buyer

The SEP (Standard Engineered Products) Project Buyer supports the SEP Purchasing Manager and Production Control Manager in project procurement and production control activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

Field Controls Engineer, Electrical Engineering Group

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will help design, program, install and test automated equipment to support IAC’s industrial systems.  The Field Controls Engineer will also work directly with clients and other members of the team to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements:

  • Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Design electrical control systems and interface into existing control systems.
  • Create drawing packages including electrical schematics, panel layouts, device layouts, control and power wiring drawings and safety circuits.
