Magnehelic
The Magnehelic gauge is used to continuously monitor the differential in air pressure across the baghouse filter media. As the media becomes dirty or clogged over time, the differential pressure gauge rises letting the operator know when it is time to replace the filtration media. High differential pressure causes higher energy usage and lower air flow in the system reducing overall efficiency. Keeping the filter media in good condition saves energy and optimizes overall system efficiency.
Photohelic
The Photohelic combination switch and gauge provides the same monitoring ability as a Magnehelic gauge but with the added feature of being able to control when the baghouse cleaning device operates, “On Demand Cleaning”. This can provide greatly increased energy savings as well as reduced maintenance costs.
The baghouse cleaning device (compressed air, fan or shaker) only operates when needed. The equipment operator adjusts the high differential pressure (dirty/clogged media) “On Set Point” and low differential pressure (cleaned media) “Off Set Point”. When the differential pressure rises to high it hits the On Set Point, then the baghouse cleaning device turns on and cleans the filter media until the differential pressure decreases to the Off Set Point, then the cleaning device automatically turns off – saving energy and reducing equipment and filter media wear and tear. As the filter media slowly becomes clogged again the differential pressure raises up to the On Set Point and the cleaning cycle begins again.
DIGIHELIC
Programming is easy using the menu key to access 5 simplified menus which provide access to: security level;
selection of pressure, velocity or flow operation; selection of engineering units; K-factor for use with flow sensors;
rectangular or circular duct for inputting area in flow applications; set point control or set point and alarm
operation; alarm operation as a high, low or high/low alarm; automatic or manual alarm reset; alarm delay; view
peak and valley process reading; digital dampening for smoothing erratic process applications; scaling the 4-20 mA
process output to fit your applications range and field calibration.
